The 2026 Samsung TV Lineup: What's New, What's Worth Upgrading To, and What to Know Before You Buy

The 2026 Samsung TV lineup is arriving now, and it's one of the more interesting model year transitions in recent memory. Some series get meaningful upgrades. One beloved model disappears entirely. A new category enters the picture. And prices on the outgoing 2025 models are dropping fast.

If you're shopping for a new TV right now — or thinking about upgrading — here's everything you need to know, written by the team that sells more Samsung TVs in the Baltimore and Washington area than anyone else.

The biggest news: The QN90 series is gone

The QN90 was Samsung's most popular premium Neo QLED model for years. The QN90F was excellent. There is no QN90H. Samsung has discontinued the series entirely for 2026.

Its replacement in the lineup is the R85H, a new RGB LED LCD model that sits between the Neo QLED and OLED tiers. If you were planning to buy a QN90F, now is the time — remaining 2025 inventory is available at significantly reduced prices. Once it's gone, it's gone.

The OLED lineup gets stronger: S95H, S90H, S85H

Samsung's OLED lineup is the real story of 2026. Three series — the S95H, S90H, and S85H — all receive meaningful upgrades over their F-series predecessors.

The flagship S95H QD-OLED is up to 35% brighter than last year's S95F, pushing close to 3,000 nits peak brightness. It now features Samsung's new FloatLayer design — a flush-to-wall aesthetic with a gallery-like backing that gives it a presence similar to The Frame even when mounted. Glare Free technology, previously limited to the S95F, now extends to the S90H as well. The entire OLED lineup supports Motion Xcelerator 165Hz, making these the best Samsung TVs ever built for gaming.

Pricing for the S95H starts at $2,499.99 for the 55-inch and reaches $6,499.99 for the 83-inch. The S90H starts at $1,399.99 for the 42-inch. The S85H, the most accessible OLED option, starts at $1,199.99 for the 48-inch — an entirely new size in the lineup.

Our take: If you've been on the fence about OLED, the S85H at the 48-inch entry point is the most accessible the category has ever been. And the S95H is the best picture quality Samsung has ever produced in a consumer TV.

The Frame gets simplified — and bigger

The 2026 Frame lineup makes a significant structural change. The standard Frame (with the external One Connect Box) is now limited to 43-inch and 50-inch sizes only. All larger sizes — 55-inch through 98-inch — move to The Frame (Built-in), which drops the One Connect Box and integrates everything directly into the TV.

The Frame Pro, which uses a Neo QLED 4K panel for superior picture quality, expands with a new 55-inch option and is now available from 55-inch through 85-inch. The Frame Pro also retains the Wireless One Connect Box. Pricing starts at $1,999.99 for the 65-inch.

Most importantly: The Frame is now available in 98 inches for the first time. For anyone who has wanted the art TV aesthetic at truly cinematic scale, that option now exists.

Our take: The simplification of the Frame lineup is a net positive for most buyers. The Built-in version at larger sizes is cleaner and easier to install. If you need the flexibility of the One Connect Box, step up to The Frame Pro.

Neo QLED mid-range: QN80H and QN70H

The QN80H and QN70H carry the Neo QLED flag in the mid-range for 2026. The QN80H features more dimming zones than its predecessor, improved AI picture processing, and Motion Xcelerator 144Hz. The QN70H adds impressive gaming credentials with Dual Line Gate technology enabling up to 288Hz — though at reduced vertical resolution.

Neither model represents a dramatic leap over the 2025 equivalents, but both are solid performers at their price points.

New: Mini LED M-series

Samsung introduces a new Mini LED lineup for 2026 — the M80H and M70H — sitting below the Neo QLED tier. These deliver genuine Mini LED performance at more accessible price points, with Samsung Pure Spectrum Color technology for accurate, consistent color reproduction. For buyers who want a step up from basic QLED without paying for Neo QLED, this new tier fills a real gap.

What this means if you're shopping right now

If you want the absolute best picture: S95H — brighter, better designed, and more capable than anything Samsung has made before.

If you want OLED at a more accessible price: S85H — starts at $1,199.99 in 48-inch, the most affordable Samsung OLED ever.

If you want the best bright-room TV: S90H with Glare Free — now that Glare Free extends to the S90H, this is our recommendation for living rooms with lots of windows.

If you want the art TV look: Frame Pro — Neo QLED panel, Wireless One Connect Box, now available in 55-inch through 85-inch.

If you want maximum value on a proven performer: 2025 QN90F — with the QN90 series discontinued, remaining inventory is priced to move and the 2025 model is excellent. This window won't last long.
